AGENDA ITEM:Consideration of approval of a resolution approving the mayor’s
appointment of citizen members to the Library Board of Trustees for
three-year terms to end June 30, 2022

SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The terms for Jared Starkweather and Megan
Stoulil will both expire on June 30, 2019.

STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: The Mayor will announce his appointments during the
Council meeting.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution.

RESOLUTION 19-
APPROVING THE MAYOR’S APPOINTMENT OF CITIZEN MEMBERS TO THE
LIBRARY BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THREE-YEAR TERMS TO END JUNE 30,
2022
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County;
AND,
WHEREAS, each year the mayor must appoint or reappoint citizen members to those boards
which have appointments scheduled to expire or unexpired terms; AND,
WHEREAS, Mayor William F. Peard has made the following appointments to the Library
Board of Trustees:

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
17th day of June, 2019, that the mayor’s appointments to the Library Board of Trustees are
hereby approved.
