AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a resolution approving Amendment No. 1 to
Agreement for Professional Consulting Services with Shive Hattery [Waukee
City Hall Renovation Project]
FORMAT: Resolution
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The City Council approved the original Professional
Consulting Services Agreement with Shive Hattery in September 2018 for the
improvements currently being made at City Hall. The original contract did not
include consulting related to site lighting. It was decided that the existing site
lighting needed to be replaced due to its age and non-compliance with current
City Code.
The proposed amendment includes services related to design and bidding of
the exterior lighting improvements.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS: $4,900.00

RESOLUTION 19-
APPROVING AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO AGREEMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL
CONSULTING SERVICES WITH SHIVE HATTERY [WAUKEE CITY HALL
EXTERIOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT]
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal
Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, the City retained the services of Shive Hattery, related to the design development
and construction and bid administration for the Waukee City Hall Exterior Improvement Project;
AND,
WHEREAS, Amendment No. 1 relates to additional services for site lighting;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee that the
Amendment No. 1 to Agreement for Professional Consulting Services with Shive Hattery
[Waukee City Hall Exterior Improvement Project] is hereby approved.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee, Iowa, and approved the 15th day of July
2019.
