AGENDA ITEM:Consideration of approval of a resolution approving temporary parking
along the north side of SE Booth Drive from SE L.A. Grant Parkway
west to SE Waddell Way on August 21, 2019, through August 30, 2019,
for a specific forty-eight (48) hour period

SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The Glynn Village Townhomes homeowners
association will be adding an asphalt overlay in the alleyway behind the
units along the north side of SE Booth Drive, blocking access to the
driveways and garage units for certain residents. They have requested
permission to park along Booth Drive during the construction and curing
period for the asphalt overlay.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Police, Fire, and Public Works Departments have
reviewed the request and have no concerns.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution.

RESOLUTION 19-
APPROVING TEMPORARY PARKING ALONG THE NORTH SIDE OF SE BOOTH
DRIVE FROM SE L.A. GRANT PARKWAY WEST TO SE WADDELL WAY ON
AUGUST 21, 2019, THROUGH AUGUST 30, 2019, FOR A SPECIFIC FORTY-EIGHT
(48) HOUR PERIOD
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal
Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, on a day during the week of August 19, 2019, the homeowners association for
Glynn Village Townhomes will be adding an asphalt overlay in the alleyway behind the units
along the north side of SE Booth Drive, blocking access to the driveways and garage units for
certain residents; AND,
WHEREAS, the homeowners association requests the allowance of temporary parking along the
north side of SE Booth Drive from SE L.A. Grant Parkway west to SE Waddell Way from
August 21 to August 30, 2019, for one (1) period of forty-eight (48) hours during asphalt pouring
and curing.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
19th day of August, 2019, that it hereby approves temporary parking along the north side of SE
Booth Drive from SE L.A. Grant Parkway west to SE Waddell Way on August 21, 2019, through
August 30, 2019, for a specific forty-eight (48) hour period.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Waukee Public Works Department shall post
signage noting the temporary parking during the 48 hour period of asphalt pouring and curing.
