Treatment Facility Demolition Project, Blower Building Asbestos Survey]
FORMAT:Resolution
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The City requested proposals to investigate if there is a
presence of asbestos in the blower building prior to the building being
demolished as part of the Wastewater Treatment Facility Demolition. Two
proposals were received.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS: $650.00
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Veenstra & Kimm, Inc. reviewed the proposals and
recommend awarding the contract for the Asbestos Survey for the Wastewater
Treatment Facility Demolition project to B2 Environmental, Inc. of Omaha,
Nebraska in the amount of $650.00.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution

AWARDING QUOTE FOR WASTEWATER TREATMENT FACILITY DEMOLITION
PROJECT, BLOWER BUILDING ASBESTOS SURVEY
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF WAUKEE, IOWA:
That the following quote for certain public improvements described in general as Wastewater
Treatment Facility Demolition Project, Blower Building Asbestos Survey, and described in the
Request for Quotes that was provided to vendors be and is hereby accepted, the same being the
lowest responsible quote received for such work, as follows:
Contractor: B2 Environmental, Inc., of Omaha, NE
Amount of quote: $650.00
PASSED AND APPROVED this 16th day of September, 2019.
