MEETING DATE: October 7, 2019
AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a Motion to set a Public Hearing Date of
November 4, 2019, as the date of public hearing on an ordinance to
amend Chapter 169, Zoning Ordinance, City of Waukee, Iowa, by
rezoning certain property from A-1 Agricultural District to C-1
Community and Highway Service Commercial District and R-4 Row
Dwelling and Townhome District (Waukee Crossing)
FORMAT: Motion
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Staff has received a request for rezoning of
approximately 21.80 acres of property from A-1 Agricultural District to
C-1 Community and Highway Service Commercial District and R-4 Row
Dwelling and Townhome District. The property is located north of
Hickman Road and west of Warrior Lane. The applicant has provided the
necessary consents from the adjoining property owners in order to begin
the rezoning process.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff would recommend a public hearing date be set for
November 4, 2019, to further discuss the proposed changes.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the motion.
