AGENDA ITEM:Consideration of approval of a resolution approving Maintenance
Agreement for printer/copier
FORMAT:Resolution
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The City is replacing an old copier and printer that
will require a maintenance agreement in order to receive regular
supplies, training and support.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
November – May, fiscal impact will vary and will be based on the
amount of printing.
The click rate for copiers for black and white is subjected to $0.004 per
click and color copies are subjected to $0.032 per click. There is no max
volume or overage rates or fees.
For printers, the click rate of color copies are $0.050 and the click rate of
black and white are $0.087. There is no max on volume and no overage
rates or fees.
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: City staff recommends approving the agreement.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution.

RESOLUTION 19-
APPROVING MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT FOR PRINTER/COPIER
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal
Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, the Information Technology (IT) Department of the City of Waukee has researched
and compared vendor costs associated with copier and printer equipment and services for the
Utility Billing Division of the Finance Department; AND,
WHEREAS, the printer/copier purchase has been approved by the Waukee City Council as part
of the FY2020 City of Waukee Budget; AND,
WHEREAS, the IT Department recommends approval of an associated Maintenance Agreement
between Konica Minolta Business Solutions, USA, Inc., and the City of Waukee;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Waukee City Council that the Maintenance
Agreement is hereby approved.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee, Iowa, and approved the 14th day of October,
2019.
