with Miller & Sons Golf Cars [Sugar Creek Municipal Golf Course
Carts]
FORMAT: Consent Agenda
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: On Friday, October 25 2019 at 10:00 am staff
received three proposals for the purchase of new golf cars for Sugar
Creek Golf Course. The three vendors that submitted a proposal were
Miller & Sons Golf Cars (EZGO), NB Golf Cars (Club Car), and Harris
Golf Cars (Yamaha). The lowest proposal was Miller & Sons Golf Cars.
Miller & Sons Golf Cars: $96,178.00
Harris Golf Cars: $102,300.00
NB Golf Cars: $107,221.60
The purchase agreement with Miller & Sons Golf Cars is for the
purchase of 36 golf cars, one range picker, and the trade in of the 2011
Yamaha fleet (36) currently owned by the City of Waukee.
The purchase of these carts was anticipated and was presented as part of
the budget. The purchase will be funded through the recently-approved
2019C GO Capital Loan Notes.
