MEETING DATE: January 15, 2018
AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a Motion to set a Public Hearing Date of
February 5, 2018, as the date of public hearing on an ordinance to amend
Chapter 301, Zoning Ordinance, City of Waukee, Iowa, by rezoning
certain property from C-4 to R-4 (Prairie Crossing Townhomes)
FORMAT: Motion
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Staff has received a request for rezoning of
approximately 7.97 acres from C-4 (Office Park Commercial District) to
R-4 (Row Dwelling & Townhome District). The subject property is
located north of NE Horizon Drive and east of NE Archer Avenue.
The original date for the public hearing was set for January 15, 2018,
however, the Planning & Zoning Commission tabled action on this item
at their meeting on January 9, 2018, to allow the applicant time to
provide additional information.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff would recommend a public hearing date be set for
February 5, 2018, to further discuss the proposed changes.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the motion.
