AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of approval of a Motion to set a Public
Hearing Date of February 20, 2018, as the date of public hearing on an
ordinance to amend Chapter 301, Zoning Ordinance, City of Waukee,
Iowa, by rezoning certain property from A-1 to R-2 (Ashworth Acres)
FORMAT: Motion
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Staff has received a request for rezoning of
approximately 65.75 acres from A-1 Agricultural District to R-2 One &
Two Family Residential District. The subject property is located north of
Ashworth Road and west of R-22/Ute Avenue.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff would recommend a public hearing date be set for
February 20, 2018, to further discuss the proposed changes.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the motion.
