AGENDA ITEM:Consideration of approval of a resolution approving the mayor’s
appointment of alternate representative and ex-officio to the Central
Iowa Regional Drinking Water Commission (CIRDWC) for 2018
FORMAT:Mayor’s Appointment and Resolution
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: On 01/02/2018, Mayor Peard appointed Council
Member Lyon as liaison to the Central Iowa Regional Drinking Water
Commission (CIRDWC). CIRDWC has since recommended the
appointment of an alternate representative (alternate to the primary when
they cannot attend, with same voting rights) and ex-officio (non-voting
member).

RESOLUTION 18-
APPROVING THE MAYOR’S APPOINTMENT OF ALTERNATE
REPRESENTATIVE AND EX-OFFICIO TO THE CENTRAL IOWA REGIONAL
DRINKING WATER COMMISSION (CIRDWC) FOR 2018
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas
County; AND,
WHEREAS, on January 2, 2018, Mayor William F. Peard appointed Council Member
Larry Lyon as City of Waukee representative to the Central Iowa Regional Drinking
Water Commission (CIRDWC); AND,
WHEREAS, CIRDWC has also requested appointment of an alternate representative and
ex-officio to the Commission; AND,
WHEREAS, for the calendar year 2018, Mayor William F. Peard appoints
________________ as the alternate representative and _______________ as the ex-
officio to CIRDWC.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 5th day of February, 2018, that it hereby approves the Mayor’s appointments
to the Central Iowa Regional Drinking Water Commission (CIRDWC).
