AGENDA ITEM:Consideration of approval of a resolution approving the mayor’s
appointment of a citizen member to the Community and Economic
Development Advisory Council for a term to end January 31, 2021

SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: There is currently an open seat on the
Community and Economic Development Advisory Council with a term
ending January 31, 2021.

STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: The Mayor will announce his appointment during the
Council meeting.

RESOLUTION 18-
APPROVING THE MAYOR’S APPOINTMENT OF A CITIZEN MEMBER TO THE
COMMUNITY AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ADVISORY COUNCIL FOR A
TERM TO END JANUARY 31, 2021
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County;
AND,
WHEREAS, each year the mayor shall appoint or reappoint citizen members to the City’s
various boards, commissions, committees; AND,
WHEREAS, there is currently an open seat on the Community and Economic Development
Advisory Council with a term to end January 31, 2021; AND,
WHEREAS, Mayor William F. Peard appoints __________________ to Community and
Economic Development Advisory Council with a term to end January 31, 2021.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
5th day of February, 2018, that it hereby approves the mayor’s appointment of ______________
to the Community and Economic Development Advisory Council for a term to end January 31,
2021
