AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a resolution approving construction
drawings for Stratford Crossing Plat 1
FORMAT: Resolution
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON:
The subject property is located north of Hickman Road and west of North 10th Street. The public
improvements associated with this plat include sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and water main
extensions. Additionally, the applicant will construct a new extension of NW Sunrise Drive and
two new streets, NW Stratford Drive and NW Charlestown Lane. This is the first of six planned
phases of the Stratford Crossing Development. Plat 1 will include lots for commercial
development, two family residential (duplex), multi-family, rowhome/townhome, and single-
family lots.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: At this time a majority of staff comments have been
addressed and Staff is working with the applicant to get the last few comments addressed.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of the resolution subject to remaining
staff comments.

RESOLUTION 18-
APPROVING THE CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS FOR
STRATFORD CROSSING PLAT 1
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized
Municipal Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, construction plans have been submitted to the City for Stratford Crossing
Plat 1; AND,
WHEREAS, the construction drawings have been reviewed by the City Engineer and
City staff, and are found to be in general conformance with section §303 - Land
Subdivision Ordinance of the Waukee Municipal Code.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,
Iowa on this 5th day of February, 2018 that the Construction Drawings for Stratford
Crossing Plat 1 be approved subject to remaining staff comments.
