AGENDA ITEM:Consideration of approval of a resolution approving the mayor’s
appointment of a citizen member to the Planning and Zoning Commission
for an unexpired term ending January 31, 2020; and a citizen member to
the Library Board of Trustees for an unexpired term ending June 30, 2020

SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Planning & Zoning Commissioner Scott Fontenot is
unable to fulfill his term scheduled to expire January 31, 2020. Library
Trustee Tracie Witt is unable to fulfill her term scheduled to expire June
30, 2020

THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
RESOLUTION 18-
APPROVING MAYORAL APPOINTMENT OF A CITIZEN MEMBER TO THE
PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION FOR AN UNEXPIRED TERM ENDING
JANUARY 31, 2020; AND A CITIZEN MEMBER TO THE LIBRARY BOARD OF
TRUSTEES FOR AN UNEXPIRED TERM ENDING JUNE 30, 2020
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County;
AND,
WHEREAS, Planning and Zoning Commissioner Scott Fontenot is unable to complete his term,
scheduled to expire January 31, 2020; AND,
WHEREAS, Waukee Public Library Trustee Tracie Witt is unable to complete her term,
scheduled to expire June 30, 2020; AND,
WHEREAS, Mayor William F. Peard appoints ________________ to fill the unexpired
Planning & Zoning Commission term of Scott Fontenot, and ______________________ to fill
the unexpired Waukee Public Library Board of Trustees term of Tracie Witt.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
5th day of March, 2018, that the mayor’s appointment of _____________ to the Planning and
Zoning Commission for an unexpired term ending January 31, 2020; and ______________ to the
Library Board of Trustees for an unexpired term ending June 30, 2020, is hereby approved.
