AGENDA ITEM:Consideration of approval of receipt and file of purchase of Development
Services Vehicle
FORMAT:Consent Agenda
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The FY 2019 budget includes funding for an
additional vehicle for Development Services. The use of the vehicle will
be by the additional building inspector inspection which is scheduled to
start July 1, 2018.
In 2013, the City Council adopted a purchasing policy which identifies
the process for purchases. For vehicle purchases, a total of three written
quotes are required.
The Development Services Department received three written quotes for
the purchase of an extended cab 4 wheel drive truck.
Shottenkirk Chevrolet (Chevrolet Silverado): $25,650.00
Adel Chrysler (Dodge Ram): $26,130.00
Stivers Ford (Ford F150): $26,150.00
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff will proceed with the lowest quote which was
provided by Shottenkirk Chevrolet. The vehicle will not be purchased
until the start of the new fiscal year beginning July 1st.
RECOMMENDATION: Receive and file the purchase
