STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: RDG Planning and Design has reviewed the Raccoon River
Valley Trailhead Art Project and find that the work performed is in substantial
accordance with the plans and specifications, and that the final amount of the
Contract is $870.664.00.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution.

RESOLUTION 18-
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE RACCOON RIVER VALLEY TRAILHEAD
PUBLIC ART PROJECT
WHEREAS, on October 3, 2016, the Mayor and Clerk of the City of Waukee, Iowa,
entered into an agreement with RDG Dahlquist Art Studio of Des Moines, IA, for the installation
of certain public improvements generally described as the Raccoon River Valley Trailhead
Public Art Project (Resolution #16-431); and
WHEREAS, the contractor has fully completed the construction of the public
improvements in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract as shown by the
certificate of the Engineer filed with the Clerk on May 7, 2018:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WAUKEE, IOWA:
Section 1. That the report of the Engineer be and the same is hereby approved and
adopted, and the public improvements are hereby approved and accepted as having been fully
completed in accordance with the contract and the total final construction cost thereof is hereby
determined to be $870,664.00, as shown in the report of the Engineer.
