HomeMy WebLinkAbout2018-06-18-J01I Wetland Bank Credit Purchase AGENDA ITEM: CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA CITY COUNCIL MEETING COMMUNICATION MEETING DATE: June 18, 2018 AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a resolution approving Wetland Mitigation Bank Credit Purchase Agreement FORMAT: Resolution SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: As a part of the environmental work that has been completed for the joint High School/Youth Sports Complex project, it has been determined that 0.91 acres of wetland credits need to be purchased due to impacts related to the project. FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS: $27,300 of which $17,250 will be reimbursed by the School District for their portion of the cost. COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT: STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: RECOMMENDATION: Staff would recommend approval of the resolution. ATTACHMENTS: I. Proposed Resolution II. Wetland Mitigation Bank Credit Purchase Agreement PREPARED BY: Brad Deets, Development Services Director REVIEWED BY: PUBLIC NOTICE INFORMATION – NAME OF PUBLICATION: DATE OF PUBLICATION: J1I THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA RESOLUTION 18- APPROVING WETLAND MITIGATION BANK CREDIT PURCHASE AGREEMENT IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal Organization; AND, WHEREAS, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has authorized the City of Waukee to purchase 0.91 credits of emergent wetland from the McCorkle Mitigation Bank for the purchase price of $27,300.00 associated with the construction of the Waukee High School and Youth Sports Campus. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this 18th day of June, 2018, that it hereby approves the Wetland Mitigation Bank Credit Purchase Agreement related to the Waukee High School and Youth Sports Campus. ____________________________ William F.
