AGENDA ITEM:Consideration of approval of a resolution approving the mayor’s
appointment of citizen members to the Library Board of Trustees for
three-year terms to end June 30, 2021; and a citizen member to the
Library Board of Trustees for an unexpired term ending June 30, 2020

expire:

Council meeting.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution.

THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
RESOLUTION 18-
APPROVING THE MAYOR’S APPOINTMENT OF CITIZEN MEMBERS TO THE
LIBRARY BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THREE-YEAR TERMS TO END JUNE 30,
2021; AND A CITIZEN MEMBER TO THE LIBRARY BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR
AN UNEXPIRED TERM ENDING JUNE 30, 2020
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County;
AND,
WHEREAS, each year the mayor must appoint or reappoint citizen members to those boards
which have appointments scheduled to expire or unexpired terms; AND,
WHEREAS, Waukee Public Library Trustee Tessa Kirsch is unable to complete her term,
scheduled to expire June 30, 2020; AND,
WHEREAS, Mayor William F. Peard has made the following appointments to the Library
Board of Trustees:

_________________ appointment unexpired term ending 06/30/2020
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
2nd day of July, 2018, that the mayor’s appointments to the Library Board of Trustees are hereby
approved.
