AGENDA ITEM:Consideration of approval of Change Order No. 1 to Concrete Connections,
for the Waukee Trailhead and Dog Park project in the amount of $8,520.00.
FORMAT:Consent Agenda
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Change Order No. 1 to Concrete Connection is for
additional culvert improvements in the Northwest corner of the property,
grade adjustment for better water flow in the Southeast corner of the property,
and removal of sidewalk and grade adjustment to the western boarder of the
property. The sidewalk was originally put in as a part of the Autumn Ridge
Apartments at an elevation that was going to restrict water flow from the dog
park to the drainage basin. Confluence and City Staff have reviewed the
quantities and find them to be accurate.

Waukee City Council. Quantities have been reviewed and agreed upon by the contractor, City staff, and

DESCRIPTION:
During construction, we identified some grading connections that would make the project and surrounding properties drain better. Secondly the
concrete walkway on the West end was significantly higher than design grades exhibited. To adjust sidewalk elevations and connections to the
dog park this area needed to be re-worked.
