HomeMy WebLinkAbout2018-08-20-J01zJJ Stratford Crossing Rezoning_Set PH AGENDA ITEM: CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA CITY COUNCIL MEETING COMMUNICATION MEETING DATE: August 20, 2018 AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of approval of a Motion to set a Public Hearing Date of September 4, 2018, as the date of public hearing on an ordinance to amend Chapter 301, Zoning Ordinance, City of Waukee, Iowa, by rezoning certain property from R-4 to R-3, R-2 to R-4, R-4 to R-2, and R-3 to C-1 (Stratford Crossing) FORMAT: Motion SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Staff has received a request for rezoning of approximately 0.89 acres from R-4 (Row Dwelling & Townhome District) to R-3 (Multi-Family Residential District), R-2 (One & Two Family Residential District) to R-4 (Row Dwelling & Townhome District), R-4 (Row Dwelling & Townhome District) to R-2 (One & Two Family Residential District), and R-3 (Multi-Family Residential District) to C-1 (Community & Highway Service Commercial District). The subject property is located west of N. 10th Street and north of Hickman Road. The purpose of the rezoning is to account for road alignment errors that were made during the initial zoning of the property. The road alignments have now been corrected and the rezoning is necessary to prevent lots from being zoned with multiple classifications. FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS: COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT: STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff would recommend a public hearing date be set for September 4, 2018, to further discuss the proposed changes.
