SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: As part of a special event permit application, the
owners of Waukee Hardware request a temporary street closure for a
business grand re-opening on 09/29/2018.

THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
RESOLUTION 18-
APPROVING THE TEMPORARY CLOSING OF WALNUT STREET FROM 6TH
STREET WEST 125 FEET TO THE ALLEY BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 7:00 A.M.
AND 9:00 P.M. ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 29, 2018, AS PART OF A SPECIAL
EVENT PERMIT [WAUKEE HARDWARE STORE GRAND RE-OPENING]
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal
Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, the owners of Waukee Hardware Store request the temporary closing of Walnut
Street from 6th Street west 125 feet to the alley between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. on
Saturday, September 29, 2018, for a business grand re-opening event; AND,
WHEREAS, pursuant to Code of Iowa §364.12(2)(a), public ways and grounds may be
temporarily closed by resolution.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
4th day of September, 2018, that it hereby approves the temporary closing of Walnut Street from
6th Street west 125 feet to the alley between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. on Saturday,
September 29, 2018, as part of a Special Event Permit [Waukee Hardware Store grand re-
opening.
