MEETING DATE: September 4, 2018
AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a Motion to set a Public Hearing Date of
September 17, 2018, as the date of public hearing on an ordinance to
amend Chapter 301, Zoning Ordinance, City of Waukee, Iowa, by
rezoning certain property from C-1B Large Scale Commercial District to
R-3 Rental Multi-Family Residential District and PD-1 Planned
Development Overlay (Prairie Crossing Plat 7)
FORMAT: Motion
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Staff has received a request to rezone
approximately 16.865 acres of property from large scale commercial
district to rental multi-family residential district. The property is located
within the Prairie Crossing development and is generally located east of
NE Westgate Drive and north of Hickman Road. The applicant has
provided the required information to request the City Council to set the
public hearing date.

COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff would recommend a public hearing date be set for
September 17, 2018, to further discuss the proposed changes.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the motion.
