AGENDA ITEM: A public hearing on the vacation of a Public Utility Easement [Prairie
Crossing Plat 4]
FORMAT: Public Hearing
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Plans were recently approved for the Prairie Crossing
Townhomes on the subject property. As a part of a prior plat, a public utility
easement was provided across this property. Based upon the revised use, it
was determined that the Public Utility Easement is no longer necessary.
In order to dispose of the original easement, the City Council needs to hold a
public hearing on the vacation.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:

STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: With the approval and recording of the new final plat for
Prairie Crossing Townhomes, the easement previously approved with Prairie Crossing Plat 4 is no
longer needed and it is recommended that it be vacated.
RECOMMENDATION: Hold the Public hearing
