AGENDA ITEM: A public hearing on the vacation of a Landscape Buffer Easement [Prairie
Crossing Plat 4 and Plat 5]
FORMAT: Public Hearing
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Plans were recently approved for the Prairie Crossing
Townhomes on the subject property. As a part of two prior plats, a landscape
buffer easement was provided across this property. Based upon the revised
use, a new landscape buffer easement was provided with the new final plat
which reduced the width of the original easement. The previously provided
landscape buffer easements have been determined to be no longer necessary.
In order to dispose of the original easements, the City Council needs to hold a
public hearing on the vacation.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:

STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: With the approval and recording of the new final plat for
Prairie Crossing Townhomes, the easement previously approved with Prairie Crossing Plat 4 and Plat
5 is no longer needed and it is recommended that it be vacated.
RECOMMENDATION: Hold the Public hearing
