AGENDA ITEM:Consideration of approval of an ordinance to amend Chapter 502 of the
Waukee Municipal Code, Traffic Regulations of the City of Waukee,
Iowa, by adding to Section 502, Parking Regulations, certain public
streets as specified [second reading]

STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff would recommend approval of the second
consideration to rezone the property.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the second reading of the ordinance in title only.

ORDINANCE NO. _________
AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 502, WAUKEE MUNICIPAL CODE,
TRAFFIC REGULATIONS OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA, BY ADDING TO
SECTION 502 “PARKING REGULATIONS,” CERTAIN PUBLIC STREETS AS
SPECIFIED BELOW
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee has determined that certain public streets should be added
to the no parking ordinances.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Waukee:
Section 1. Chapter 502, Waukee Municipal Code, Traffic Regulations, Section 502.1 is
hereby amended to add as follows:
§502.1 No parking is permitted on the either side of the following north-south
streets:
SE Bishop Drive between University Avenue and SE Emerald Drive
Section 2. Chapter 502, Waukee Municipal Code, Traffic Regulations, Section 502.7 is
hereby amended to add as follows:
§502.7 No parking is permitted on the south side of the following east-west streets:
SE Bishop Drive from SE Waco Place to SE Emerald Drive
Section 3. Repealer. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions
of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 4. Severability Clause. If any section, provision or part of this ordinance shall be
adjudged invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the ordinance
as a whole or any section, provision, or part thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional.
Section 5. Effective Date. This ordinance shall be in effect upon its final passage, approval
and publication as provided by law.
