AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a motion setting October 15, 2018 as the date of
public hearing on an ordinance to amend Chapter 306, Flood Plain
Management.
FORMAT: Motion
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The National Flood Insurance Program has updated the
flood insurance maps. In order to be in compliance with the program, the City
needs to update the Flood Plain Management Ordinance to reflect the current
flood maps.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff would recommend setting a public hearing date for
October 15, 2018 to further discuss the revised Ordinance.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the motion.
