AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a motion setting November 5, 2018 as the date of
public hearing on the annexation of consenting properties by the City of
Waukee, Iowa with consideration of the annexation taking place immediately
thereafter [Telby LLC and Goodall Property]
FORMAT: Motion
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Staff has received petitions from Telby LLC and Charles
and Cheryl Goodall for the annexation of the property which was the former
rest area along Interstate 80. The proposed annexation will also include the
north half of the Interstate 80 right of way from R-22 to the eastern current
corporate limits of the City of Waukee.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff would recommend setting a public hearing date for
November 5, 2018 to further discuss the annexation proposal.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the motion.
