AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of Payment Estimate No. 1 (Final) to Edge
Companies for the Library Envelope Improvement Project in the amount of
$76,646.00.
FORMAT: Consent Agenda
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Payment Estimate No. 1 (Final) to Edge Commercial in
the amount of $76,646.00 is for the Library Envelope Improvement Project
that has recently been completed on the exterior of the library. The project
has been completed and the pay estimate is for the full amount of the contract
minus retainage. The release of retainage will occur 30 days from approval.

RE: Waukee Public Library, Building Envelope Project
Dear Mr. Deets,
Slingshot architecture has reviewed the work on site and determined that the work was
substantially complete on September 18, 2018. I have also reviewed the attached Pay
application #1 and find it aligns with the contract bid amount of $80,680, minus
retainage for an amount of $76,646.
I recommend payment of this application and to start the process toward releasing of
retainage on the City of Waukee’s schedule.
