STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Slingshot Architecture has reviewed the Library Envelope
Improvement Project and that the work performed is in substantial accordance
with the plans and specifications.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution.

RESOLUTION 18-
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS [LIBRARY
ENVELOPE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT]
WHEREAS, on July 23, 2018, the Mayor and Clerk of the City of Waukee, Iowa, entered
into an agreement with Edge Companies of Grimes, IA, for the installation of certain public
improvements generally described as the Waukee Public Library Envelope Improvement Project
(Resolution #18-306); and
WHEREAS, the contractor has fully completed the construction of the public
improvements in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract as shown by the
certificate of the Architect filed with the Clerk on September 18, 2018:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WAUKEE, IOWA:
Section 1. That the report of the Architect be and the same is hereby approved and
adopted, and the public improvements are hereby approved and accepted as having been fully
completed in accordance with the contract and the total final construction cost thereof is hereby
determined to be $80,680.00, as shown in the report of the Architect.
