AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a Motion to set a Public Hearing Date of
November 19, 2018, as the date of public hearing on an ordinance to
amend Chapter 301, Zoning Ordinance, City of Waukee, Iowa, by
rezoning certain property from A-1 Agricultural District to K-RR
Kettlestone Retail Regional District (Telby LLC)
FORMAT: Motion
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Staff has received a request for rezoning of
approximately 37 acres of property from A-1 Agricultural District to K-
RR Kettlestone Retail Regional District. The property is located north of
Interstate 80 and east of Grand Prairie Parkway.
The proposed rezoning includes a small portion of the property that is
subject to annexation. Note that the annexation will not be finalized until
it has been approved by the City Development Board which is
anticipated to be scheduled for December. The applicant is requesting
consideration to rezone the property subject to approval of the
annexation.
The proposed request is consistent with the Kettlestone Master Plan and
Land Use Plan.

STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff would recommend a public hearing date be set for
November 19, 2018, to further discuss the proposed changes.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the motion.
