AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a resolution amending a certain address for Lot 2
of Ashworth South Plat 2 within the City of Waukee from 1150 SE
Kettlestone Boulevard to 1155 SE Kettlestone Boulevard
FORMAT: Resolution
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: As a part of the final plat for Ashworth South Plat 2, the
address assigned to Lot 2 was given as 1150 SE Kettlestone Boulevard. The
lot is vacant, however, the assigned address should have been odd numbered
instead of even numbered because it is on the north side of the street. Staff
identified the error after the final plat for Ashworth South Plat 2 and now
requests approval of the address change.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: The requested change in address still fits within the confines
of the addressing grid and staff does not have any major concerns with the
proposed change. Upon approval of the City Council, the address change
would be recorded with the County and all records including E911 databases
would be updated with the new address.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution.

RESOLUTION 18-
APPROVAL OF AMENDING A CERTAIN ADDRESS FOR LOT 2 OF
ASHWORTH SOUTH PLAT 2
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized
Municipal Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee approved the final plat for Ashworth South Plat 2 on
September 5, 2017, and recorded said final plat with the Dallas County; AND,
WHEREAS, it has been determined that there was a scriveners error related to Lot 2 of
Ashworth South Plat 2; AND,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,
Iowa in session this 5th day of November 2018, that the local address of 1150 SE
Kettlestone Boulevard be amended to 1155 SE Kettlestone Boulevard. A copy of this
resolution shall be filed of record with the Recorders Office of Dallas County, Iowa.
