THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
RESOLUTION 18-
APPROVING THE OFFER TO PURCHASE RIGHT-OF-WAY AND EASEMENTS
BETWEEN PHILIP E. BRODERICK REVOCABLE TRUST, CHARLOTTE R.
BRODERICK REVOCABLE TRUST AND THE CITY OF WAUKEE
[WAUKEE HIGH SCHOOL NO. 2 PROJECT]
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal
Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, the City has been in discussion with representatives of the Philip E. Broderick
Revocable Trust and Charlotte R. Broderick Revocable Trust regarding the conveyance of certain
property interests necessary for the Waukee High School No. 2 Project;
WHEREAS, the discussions have resulted in an offer to purchase right-of-way and easements, and
the City believes it is in the best interest to approve said offer to purchase right-of-way and
easements.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee, Iowa, that
the offer to purchase right-of-way and easements between Philip E. Broderick Revocable Trust,
Charlotte R. Broderick Revocable Trust and the City of Waukee for the Waukee High School No. 2
Project are hereby approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor is authorized to execute any and all documents
to effectuate the closing on behalf of the City, and that the City Clerk shall cause the originals to
be recorded upon the properties by submitting the original to the Dallas County Recorder with the
appropriate recording fees.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee, Iowa, and approved this the 19th day of
November, 2018.
