AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a Contract Modification No. 26 to the Iowa
Department of Transportation for the 105"' Street/Alice's Road I-80 Interchange
Project with a increase in the contract of $69,867.36.

SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON:
Reason:
Additional revetment was required to stabilize the roadway ditch along Ramp C in the NW corner of the
interchange. The drainage from Grand Prairie Parkway storm sewer was causing erosion in the ditch.
Class B revetment was the only material available within a reasonable haul distance.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
Increase the contract by $69,867.36 —The City of Waukee's portion of the change order is $34,933.68

STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT:
RECOMMENDATION: Approve Contract Modification No. 26 to the Iowa Department of
Transportation for the I05"' Street/Alice's Road I-80 Interchange Project with a
net increase in the contract of $69,867.36.
