Organization (MPO) and primary and alternate members for the Des
Moines Area MPO Transportation and Technical Committee for the Year
2017

SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The City of Waukee must appoint or reappoint
persons to serve on the MPO and MPO TTC committees. No person
appointed as a representative to one committee may serve as a primary
representative or alternate on the other committee:

RESOLUTION 17-
APPROVING THE MAYOR’S APPOINTMENT OF PRIMARY AND ALTERNATE MEMBERS
OF THE DES MOINES AREA METROPOLITAN PLANNING ORGANIZATION (MPO) AND
PRIMARY AND ALTERNATE MEMBERS FOR THE DES MOINES AREA MPO
TRANSPORTATION AND TECHNICAL COMMITTEE FOR THE YEAR 2017
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County; AND,
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee must annually appoint or reappoint representatives to the Des Moines
Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) and the MPO Transportation Technical Committee
(MPO TTC); AND,
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee has two primary representatives and two alternate representatives on
both the MPO and on the MPO TTC; AND,
WHEREAS, for the calendar year 2017, Mayor William F. Peard appoints ______________ and
_________________ as primary representatives; and Mayor William F. Peard appoints ____________
and _____________________ as alternate representatives to the MPO; AND,
WHEREAS, for the calendar year 2017, Mayor William F. Peard appoints __________________ and
_____________________ as primary representatives; and Mayor William F. Peard appoints
_______________________ and _____________________ as alternate representatives to the MPO TTC.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this 3rd day of
January, 2017, that it hereby approves the Mayor’s appointments to the Metropolitan Planning
Organization and to the Metropolitan Planning Organization Transportation Technical Committee.
