AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a resolution approving construction
drawings for Clayton Estates Plat 1
FORMAT: Resolution
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON:
The public improvements associated with Clayton Estates Plat 1 include extensions of sanitary
sewer, water main, and storm sewer for a single family residential subdivision that is located west
of 8th Street and primarily south of Northview Drive. In addition to the extension of utilities the
plans identify paving of Northview Drive, 8th Street, 9th Street, and Bel Aire Court.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: At this time a majority of staff comments have been
addressed and Staff is confident that the remaining comment will be addressed prior to the
Council meeting. Staff recommends approval subject to remaining staff comments.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of the resolution subject to remaining
staff comments.

RESOLUTION 17-
APPROVING THE CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS FOR
CLAYTON ESTATES PLAT 1
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized
Municipal Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, construction plans have been submitted to the City for Clayton Estates Plat
1; AND,
WHEREAS, the construction drawings have been reviewed by the City Engineer and
City staff, and are found to be in general conformance with section §303 - Land
Subdivision Ordinance of the Waukee Municipal Code.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,
Iowa on this 16th day of January, 2017 that the Construction Drawings for Clayton
Estates Plat 1 be approved subject to remaining staff comments.
