AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of approval of a Motion to set a Public
Hearing Date of March 20, 2017, as the date of public hearing on an
ordinance to amend Chapter 301, Zoning Ordinance, City of Waukee,
Iowa, by rezoning certain property from K-MF-Row to K-MF-Row/PD-1
Planned Development Overlay (Maple Grove Place)
FORMAT: Motion
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Staff has received a request to create a planned
development overlay for a property located on the west side of Waco
Place within the Kettlestone Overlay District. The property is currently
zoned for townhomes. The applicant however, proposes an overlay in
order to allow for a proposed detached townhome development that
would include common maintenance for all of the open space and streets
within the development.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff would recommend a public hearing date be set for
March 20, 2017 to further discuss the proposed changes.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the motion.
