THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
RESOLUTION
APPROVING THE PROPOSED FY2018 BUDGET
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee is a duly incorporated City within the County of Dallas
and the State of Iowa AND,
WHEREAS, the State of Iowa has set March 15th as the date cities must submit a
certified budget to their respective county auditors AND,
WHEREAS, all City departments have worked hard to create the FY2018 budget in
accordance with the City Council goals and priorities, and to maintain the $13.50 tax rate
for the Waukee citizens, for the eighteenth year in a row AND,
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held March 6, 2017, during the regularly scheduled
council meeting to seek and to receive citizen input concerning the proposed FY2018
budget AND,
WHEREAS, the city council, after reviewing the proposed FY2018 budget and after
receiving citizen input on the same finds the FY2018 budget fiscally responsible and
responsive to the needs of the city.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 6th day of March, 2017, that it hereby approves the proposed FY2018
Budget.
