AGENDA ITEM: On proposed plans, specifications, form of contract and estimate of cost
[North 10th Street Trailhead Parking Lot Project]
FORMAT: Public Hearing
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The North 10th Street Trailhead Parking Lot Project will
be labor, materials and equipment necessary for 930 tons of hot mix asphalt
overlay, 181 square yards of shared use path, surface restoration, and
miscellaneous associated work, including cleanup. This portion of the
trailhead improvements is the City’s contribution/match of the trailhead art
project. Construction of this project will be coordinated with RDG and the
Trailhead Art Project to make sure there aren’t any issues.

STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: The plans, specifications, form of contract and estimate of
cost are on file with the City Clerk for review.
RECOMMENDATION: Hold Public Hearing.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS, PROPOSED FORM OF
CONTRACT AND ESTIMATE OF COST FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE NORTH 10TH
TRAILHEAD PARKING LOT FOR THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA.
At 5:30 P.M. on the 20th day of March, 2017, the City Council of said City will, in said
Council Chambers, hold a hearing and said Council proposes to adopt plans,
specifications, form of contract and estimate of cost and, at the time, date and place
specified above, or at such time, date and place as then may be fixed, to act upon
proposals and enter into a contract for the construction of the following improvements:
NORTH 10TH TRAILHEAD PARKING LOT
Construct North 10th Trailhead Parking Lot including all labor, materials and
equipment necessary for 930 tons of hot mix asphalt overlay, 181 square yards
of shared use path, surface restoration, and miscellaneous associated work,
including cleanup.
The North 10th Trailhead Parking Lot will be located at the intersection of Hickman Road
and 10th Street.
At said hearing, the City Council will consider the plans, specifications, proposed form of
contract, and estimated total cost for the project, the same now being on file in the
office of the City Clerk, reference to which is made for a more detailed and complete
description of the proposed improvements, and at said time and place the said Council
will also receive and consider any objections to said plans, specifications, estimate of
cost and form of contract made by any interested party.
This notice is given by order of the Council of the City of Waukee, Iowa.
