AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a resolution approving construction
drawings for Ashworth South Plat 1
FORMAT: Resolution
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON:
The subject property is located at the southeast corner of SE Ashworth Road and Grand Prairie
Parkway. The public improvements associated with the plat include extensions of sanitary sewer,
and water main for the development of a commercial subdivision. The public improvements also
include the construction of a deceleration lane along SE Ashworth Road. Private improvements
associated with the subdivision include storm sewer improvements and other driveway
improvements intended to serve the commercial development.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: At this time a majority of staff comments have been
addressed and Staff is confident that the remaining comment will be addressed prior to the
Council meeting. Staff recommends approval subject to remaining staff comments.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of the resolution subject to remaining
staff comments.

RESOLUTION 17-
APPROVING THE CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS FOR
ASHWORTH SOUTH PLAT 1
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized
Municipal Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, construction plans have been submitted to the City for Ashworth South Plat
1; AND,
WHEREAS, the construction drawings have been reviewed by the City Engineer and
City staff, and are found to be in general conformance with section §303 - Land
Subdivision Ordinance of the Waukee Municipal Code.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,
Iowa on this 20th day of March, 2017 that the Construction Drawings for Ashworth South
Plat 1 be approved subject to remaining staff comments.
