AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of approval of a Motion to set a Public
Hearing Date of April 3, 2017, as the date of public hearing on an
ordinance to amend Chapter 301, Zoning Ordinance, City of Waukee,
Iowa, by rezoning certain property from A-1 to C-1/M-1 (Raccoon River
Property)
FORMAT: Motion
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Staff has received a request for rezoning of
approximately 5.11 acres from A-1 Agricultural District to C-1
Community and Highway Service Commercial District and
approximately 17.45 acres from A-1 Agricultural District to M-1 Light
Industrial District. The purpose of the rezoning is to facilitate the
development of a business park on property that is located directly south
of Interstate 80 and west of R-22 (Ute Avenue).
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff would recommend a public hearing date be set for
April 3, 2017 to further discuss the proposed changes.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the motion.
