AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a resolution approving construction
drawings for Elm Street Public Improvements
FORMAT: Resolution
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON:
The subject property is located south of Hickman Road and west of 6th Street. The public
improvements are associated with the site improvements for the proposed Kum & Go store at 6th
Street and Hickman Road. The public improvements include the realignment and pavement of
Elm Street, pavement replacement along 6th Street, and extension of utilities.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: At this time a majority of staff comments have been
addressed and Staff is confident that the remaining comment will be addressed prior to the
Council meeting. Staff recommends approval subject to remaining staff comments.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of the resolution subject to remaining
staff comments.

RESOLUTION 17-
APPROVING THE CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS FOR
ELM STREET PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized
Municipal Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, construction plans have been submitted to the City for Elm Street Public
Improvements; AND,
WHEREAS, the construction drawings have been reviewed by the City Engineer and
City staff, and are found to be in general conformance with section §303 - Land
Subdivision Ordinance of the Waukee Municipal Code.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,
Iowa on this 3rd day of April, 2017 that the Construction Drawings for Elm Street Public
Improvements be approved subject to remaining staff comments.
