AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a Motion to set a Public Hearing Date of
May 15, 2017, as the date of public hearing on an ordinance to amend
Chapter 301, Zoning Ordinance, City of Waukee, Iowa, by rezoning
certain property from R-4/PD-1 to C-1/PD-1 (Williams Pointe Plat 13,
Lot 1)
FORMAT: Motion
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Staff has received a request for rezoning of
approximately 4.77 acres from R-4/PD-1 Row Dwelling and Townhome
Dwelling District to C-1 Community and Highway Service Commercial
District within the Williams Pointe Plat 13 Development. The property
is located at the intersection of SE Brick Drive and SE Laurel Street and
has previously been zoned commercial.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff would recommend a public hearing date be set for
May 15, 2017 to further discuss the proposed changes.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the motion.
