AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a motion setting June 5, 2017 as the date of
public hearing on a proposed land transfer to the Waukee Community School
District pursuant to the terms of a 28E Agreement
FORMAT: Motion
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The City has previously entered into a 28E with the
Waukee School District regarding the joint acquisition and development of
approximately 160 acres for a joint high school and recreation complex.
As a part of the 28E and consistent with the purchase agreements in place, the
City has purchased 80 of the 160 acres utilizing funds provided by the
Waukee School District. Per the terms of the 28E, the City must deed over
the 80 acres already purchased to the school district.

STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff would recommend setting a public hearing date for
June 5, 2017 to further discuss the proposed land transfer to the Waukee
Community School District.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the motion.
