Home My WebLink About2017-05-01-J06 I-80 West Industrial Park_CDs AGENDA ITEM: CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA CITY COUNCIL MEETING COMMUNICATION MEETING DATE: May 1, 2017 AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a resolution approving construction drawings for I-80 West Industrial Park FORMAT: Resolution SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The public improvements associated with I-80 West Industrial Park include extensions of sanitary sewer, water main, and storm sewer for a commercial and light industrial subdivision that is located south of Interstate 80 and west of R-22/Ute Avenue. In addition to the extension of utilities the plans identify paving of Interstate Parkway. FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS: COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT: STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: At this time a majority of staff comments have been addressed and Staff is confident that the remaining comment will be addressed prior to the Council meeting. Staff recommends approval subject to remaining staff comments. RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of the resolution subject to remaining staff comments. ATTACHMENTS: I. Proposed Resolution II. Project Area Identification Map PREPARED BY: Andy Kass, Senior Planner REVIEWED BY: PUBLIC NOTICE INFORMATION – NAME OF PUBLICATION: DATE OF PUBLICATION: THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA RESOLUTION 17- APPROVING THE CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS FOR I-80 WEST INDUSTRIAL PARK IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal Organization; AND, WHEREAS, construction plans have been submitted to the City for I-80 West Industrial Park; AND, WHEREAS, the construction drawings have been reviewed by the City Engineer and City staff, and are found to be in general conformance with section §303 - Land Subdivision Ordinance of the Waukee Municipal Code. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee, Iowa on this 1st day of May, 2017 that the Construction Drawings for I-80 West Industrial Park be approved subject to remaining staff comments. ____________________________ William F.
