AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a resolution approving Water Main
Easement [Phillips Hamilton, Inc.]
FORMAT: Motion
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: As a part of the construction of the Clayton
Estates subdivision, the developer was required to acquire a water main
easement for the extension of water main to the adjoining property owner
to the west.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Phillips Hamilton, the adjoining property owner has
provided the necessary easement.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution.

RESOLUTION 17-
APPROVING WATER MAIN EASMENT – PHILLIPS HAMILTON
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal
Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, it has been determined that a water main easement is necessary from an adjoining
property owner to the Clayton Estates Development previously approved by the City.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
15th day of May 2017, that it hereby approves such additional easement from Phillips Hamilton
associated with the development of Clayton Estates.
