AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a Motion to set a Public Hearing Date of
June 5, 2017, as the date of public hearing on an ordinance to amend
Chapter 301, Zoning Ordinance, City of Waukee, Iowa, by rezoning
certain property from A-1 to K-RR (Ashworth East)
FORMAT: Motion
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Staff has received a request for rezoning of
approximately 39.93 acres from A-1 Agricultural District to K-RR
Kettlestone Retail Regional District. The subject property is located
south of Ashworth Road and east of Grand Prairie Parkway.
This was originally scheduled to discuss at a Public Hearing on May 15,
2017, however, the notification signs were not placed at the property in
time to proceed forward with the public hearing.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff would recommend a public hearing date be set for
June 5, 2017 to further discuss the proposed changes.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the motion.
