AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a resolution approving Pre-annexation
Agreements associated with the Waukee West Annexation
FORMAT: Resolution
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: As a part of the discussions related to the
voluntary annexation for property located west of Waukee, it was
determined that it was necessary to prepare a pre-annexation agreement
for three property owners that had individual concerns they wanted
addressed as a part of agreeing to voluntary annexation.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff would recommend approval of the Resolution.
The three individual Pre-annexation Agreements are included as an
attachment to the resolution.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Resolution

RESOLUTION 17-
RESOLUTION APPROVING PREANNEXATION AGREEMENTS WITH
CERTAIN PROPERTY OWNERS RELATED TO THE WAUKEE WEST
ANNEXATION
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized
Municipal Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, the following property owners have submitted an Application for Voluntary
Annexation with the understanding that the conditions set forth in individual
Preannexation Agreements, hereto attached, are approved by the Waukee City Council:
Mark K. and Katherine A. Casey
Douglas A. and Patricia N. Dawson
Kristerin Management Corporation
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,
Iowa in session this 5th day of June 2017 that the Preannexation Agreements between
Mark K. and Katherine A. Casey, Douglas A. and Patricia N. Dawson and Kirsterin
Management Corporation and the City of Waukee, Iowa, be approved.
