AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a Motion to set a Public Hearing Date of
June 5, 2017, as the date of public hearing on an ordinance to amend
Chapter 301, Zoning Ordinance, City of Waukee, Iowa, by rezoning and
amending certain property from C-4/PD-1 to R-3/PD-1 (Journey Senior
Living)
FORMAT: Motion
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Staff has received a request for rezoning of
approximately 4.36 acres of property that is located along University
Avenue just east of the Winhall at Williams Pointe Apartments. The
proposed rezoning is to accommodate three story senior living
development that would provide both assisted living as well as memory
care services.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff would recommend a public hearing date be set for
July 10, 2017 to further discuss the proposed changes.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the motion.
