Proposed Ordinance PREPARED BY: Becky Schuett REVIEWED BY: PUBLIC NOTICE INFORMATION – NAME OF PUBLICATION: DATE OF PUBLICATION:   1 ORDINANCE NO. 17-____ AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 501, WAUKEE MUNICIPAL CODE, REGARDING THE SPEED LIMIT ON SE LEGACY POINTE BOULEVARD WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA. WHEREAS, the City of Waukee has determined that a new speed limit shall be implemented on certain portions of SE Legacy Pointe Boulevard within the City of Waukee. BE IT THEREFORE ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Waukee: Section 1: Chapter 501, Waukee Municipal Code, Regulation of Traffic Upon and Use of the Streets of Waukee, Iowa, is hereby amended by changing the following Section 501.9(F)(11): §501.9(F)(11) The speed limit on SE Legacy Pointe Boulevard, from the south line of US Highway 6 to just north of SE Laurel Street, shall be 25 miles per hour. Section 2 Repealer. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. Section 3. Severability Clause. If any section, provision or part of this ordinance shall be adjudged invalid or unconstitutional, such adjudication shall not affect the validity of the ordinance as a whole or any section, provisions or part thereof not adjudged invalid or unconstitutional. Section 4. Effective Date. This ordinance shall be in effect from and after its final passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
