AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of Change Order No. 1 to RW Excavating
Solutions for the Sugar Creek Municipal Golf Course Bridge Replacement
Project increases the contract amount $2,475.00.
FORMAT: Consent Agenda
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Change Order No. 1 to RW Excavating Solutions reflects
the need for additional asphalt millings along the cart paths and additional
class D rip rap for creek stabilization around the bridge. Change Order No. 1
also reflects a decrease of $900.00 for installing, maintaining and removal of
silt fence. The scope of this project has been approved by FEMA. The
quantities have been reviewed and agreed upon by the contractor, City of
Waukee Staff, and Bolton & Menk.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS: Change Order No. 1 will increase
the Contract Total by $2,475.00 bringing the Contract Total including this change order to
$109,657.40.

Dear Mr. Jermie r:
Submitted for your approval is Change Order 1. During the bridge replacement at the Sugar Creek
Municipal Golf Course additional quantity of material was required to complete the project. This change
order also includes the deduction of items not used. The original contract value of $107,182.40 will be
increased by $2,475.00 to a new contract value of $109,657.40. Please see the Change Order 1 for a full
summary of the line items affected.
Bolton & Menk, Inc. recommends the approval of Change Order 1. Please let me know if you have any
questions.
