STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Bolton & Menk has reviewed the Sugar Creek Municipal
Golf Course Bridge Replacement project and find that the work performed is
in substantial accordance with the plans and specifications, and that the final
amount of the Contract is $109,657.40.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution.

RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE SUGAR CREEK MUNICIPAL GOLF
COURSE BRIDGE REPLACEMENT
WHEREAS, on the 20th day of March, 2017, the Mayor and Clerk of the City of Waukee,
Iowa, entered into a construction contract with RW Excavating Solutions of Prairie City, IA, for
the construction of certain public improvements generally described as the Sugar Creek
Municipal Golf Course Bridge Replacement; and
WHEREAS, the contractor has fully completed the construction of the public
improvements in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract and plans and
specifications, as shown by the certificate of the Engineer filed with the Clerk on June 14, 2017:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WAUKEE, IOWA:
Section 1. That the report of the Engineer be and the same is hereby approved and
adopted, and the public improvements are hereby approved and accepted as having been fully
completed in accordance with the plans, specifications and form of contract and the total final
construction cost thereof is hereby determined to be $109,657.40, as shown in the report of the
Engineer.

I hereby declare that this project has been completed in substantial compliance with the plans,
specifications, contract documents, and change orders governing this project and recommend
that the work completed be accepted by the Owner, with the following exceptions and
conditions:

The undersigned accepts the work constructed under the conditions and guarantee of the
contract with the exceptions noted above.
The final contract amount is $109,657.40
